Welcome to The Competitive Readers Coalition
Empowering Minds, One Book at a Time
Formerly known as the Barbershop Book Club, The Competitive Readers Coalition is a non-profit organization on a mission to unlocking the gates of literacy in children by carving spaces for creativity, learning, and growth within the Tampa Bay area. We envision a world where every child has the opportunity to fall in love with reading, gain access to culturally rich literature, and build their own home library—all while getting a crisp haircut.
Together, We’re not Just Cutting Hair
We’re Curating Destinies.
